Why is a database greyed out in the Database Browser?
A database could be greyed out in the Database Browser for two reasons:
- The database compatibility level is less than 90 (SQL Server 2005)
- The database uses more than one data file
I get a message: 'Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.ExceptionMessageBox'
SQL Internals Viewer uses the Microsoft Exception Message Box that is installed with the SQL Server 2005 client tools.
If the Client Tools are not installed the Exception Message Box can be installed separately using the following packages:

Does SQL Internals Viewer work with SQL Server 2000?
No, SQL Internals Viewer is not compatible with SQL Server 2000.
